Can do so much with frames and blending modes.

I love the blending modes, and to ramble thru them looking at the different effects.
I cheated a bit on these, used KPT Filters and some SBP.
Lots of fun. I can make too many images, its difficult to stop.

Homework lesson 3

Here are two pictures from PSE lesson 3.
Desaturate, and frames.

Here is Max with the warming filter applied

This was actually not a bad picture, perhaps not the one to use, to show the warming and cooling filter effects.
There are many different views, but these 2 came out the best to show the filter.
And the truck made it out of the kayaking marshland! To have its starter fail at the best place possible besides the driveway, the post office. We towed it home, and Max helped Grampa install the new starter, solenoid, and the new wiring... And a few other things while Grampa was at it.

Here is Max helping Grampa the day of the almost kayaks and truck left in the saltmarsh on the incoming tide!

Henry and Sylvie

Here we are on the top of Killington mountain the day after Sarah and Jason's wedding.
It was a lovely day, most days in Vermont are lovely in the summer.
We took the gondola lift up, had lunch in the top-lodge, then walked all around the top trails till we got tired.
We were watching the kids who came up on the gondolas with their mountain bikes, and rode down on the utility roads. Some got permission to go down on the special trails, but you had to be darn good to do that, and you had to have disc brakes on your bike.

No more Moire.

What a difference, getting rid of the Moire when scanning a photo. The photo looks good now, thanks to Sara, our instructor.
This is the little area where we live, and you can see the sandbars and the little river next to our harbor, nice kayaking and swimming. This is about 35 years ago, and there are a lot more houses around here now. But the environment has not been ruined thanks to our town, they are up on this stuff.
I almost forgot, you have to click upon the picture to see it in a larger size and see the Moire which is not there any more in the left side of the screenshot.

Muffin after

Here is the picture after quick fix and adjusting the midtone contrast.
Love what that does to clouds.

Muffin before

This is as the camera took the picture, my husband's Nikon 990.

Cape Cod Canal

We love to ride our bikes along the army engineer access roads between the railroad and the canal.
Here is a tug pushing a fuel oil barge towards the Westerly end, its empty, having just unloaded at our power plant.
There is good fishing in the canal too, people cast from the rocky shore. We go thru here occasionally in our little boat, but its not safe for little boats(forget kayaking here), as there are large boats coming thru, and they sure can set up a nasty wake. The tide runs thru very very fast too, so you must time your passage carefully not to be going against the tide. Mass Maritime Academy is on the Western end.
And the RR Bridge is the second longest lift bridge in USA. And the CCCanal is the widest canal in the world!
There are actually 3 bridges, 2 for cars and trucks. Sometimes in summer, there are simoultaneous accidents on both bridges, and nobody can get off or on to Cape Cod.

Here it is enhanced

Fall colors along the Canal

This sure makes it look like an old photo.
But the trucks give it away, and the size of the trees.
